Dr. Robert Steven Backstein MD, FRCSC
Dr. Robert Steven Backstein MD, FRCS(C) is a fully qualified plastic and cosmetic surgeon who holds a Fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He graduated and completed his plastic surgery residency training at the University of Toronto Medical School, and has been recognized by multiple scientific publications in major medical journals.
He has been in private practice for 12 years and is currently on staff at Humber River Memorial Hospital, Toronto Ontario. He provides many OHIP and non-OHIP/private services at Toronto Dermatology Centre, including removal of moles, cysts and lipomas, and the removal of skin cancers among many other treatments.
Dr. Maneesh Prabhakar MD FRCPC
Dr. Maneesh Prabhakar obtained his M.D. from the University of Toronto in 2002. He stayed in Toronto for his residency training in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
His practise is varied and includes a special interest in Dermatology, & in particular acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema and atopic dermatitis, hair loss, skin and nail infections, and conditions with systemic manifestations. He also services rural communities in Northern Ontario.
Interests outside of medicine include: sports, politics and travel.
Dr. Dimitrios Motakis MD FRCSC
Dr. Dimitrios Motakis is a graduate of McGill University, where he completed his medical degree (MD), his doctorate in medical research (PhD), as well as his residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). After completing his residency, Dr. Motakis completed a fellowship in aesthetic surgery, trainning in the latest surgical and non surgical techniques in cosmetic surgery and facial rejuvenation. He subsequently completed a second fellowship in breast reconstruction.
He has published numerous articles and has received several hounours and awards including the Medical Research Council of Canada (MRC) Doctoral Research Scholarship. He has coauthored several chapters on the latest concepts of facial rejuvenation with dermal fillers in some of the leading texbooks in plastic surgery.
He is also actively engaged as an instructor and lecturer for the Plastic Surgery Resident Aesthetic Surgery Program with the University of Toronto. Dr. Motakis holds privileges at the Lakeridge Health Cente and St. Joseph’s Hospital and he provides many services at Toronto Dermatology Centre including the removal of skin cancers and other lesions among many other treatments.
